Or is it in a package or accompanied by a description/ instruction card of some sort?** A: I had ordered one package of 2 Purple Thangs which came in a plastic zip lock type bag. There were no instructions, but from reading the info on Amazon, I was able to figure out some uses. The curved tip is great for poking out sewn corners, plus I also use it to feed unruly pieces of fabric under the sewing machine feed dog. The flat end can also be used for that purpose, plus it is 1/4 inch in size, which is helpful when measuring a quarter inch seam. There is a slot cut into the main part of the tool and this is great for threading elastic (smaller width size 1/4” and under) through channels/tubes of fabric. I love mine and don’t know how I lived without it. I have been making a lot of masks in the past months and it is a real timesaver especially with the elastic and turning the masks right-side out. Hope this was helpful. **Q: What is it made of?** A: It is made out of plastic and I find that helps for it to bend into corners or under the presser foot of my machine when I am trying to keep seams open as I sew. **Q: Who cares about package size, I want to know the tool size, what is the tool length?** A: The tool is 6 inches long (or 15 cm). **Q: is this heat resistant?** A: I use them to hold points while ironing and have not had them melt.
