It arrived about day 8 of my healthy eating (I live in Alaska, so this is good time on shipping). I was burned out on my watery protein shake, but I refuse to blend all these vegetables and fruit in the am. I would get to work around lunch time!! When it arrived, I eagerly opened it in my office (just had to see how bad I had been ripped off). As I expected, it had settled during shipping. I gave the can a good shake and looked in it again. Word to the wise: Don't. It's very fine, sifted onto my jeans a bit, and got on my fingers. To Organifi, do me a favor AND don't fill it to the top, because I won't buy it, simply because of the mess. I already discussed the financial end. Now let's talk about a slightly overweight 49 year old woman who has not been experiencing much energy and up until December 28th was a beer drinking pizza lover bread eating tired thing. The next morning I eagerly got up. Put the water in my blender, the recommended amount of protein powder, a bit of coconut oil and a scoop of this green stuff. Gave the blender a few whirs, poured it in my cup. It's green alright. But it tastes fine. I wouldn't go to the juice bar and pay for some fancy smoothie with a scoop of this stuff. But it wasn't bad (remember, I lived on beer and bad carbs for 49 years). I can drink this everyday. And it does have some fine grittiness to it. But dear god almighty! I got to work and I was on! They don’t PUT lead in the Organify product. But some farmer somewhere may use a fertilizer or pesticides that include trace amounts of lead. CA requires disclosure of that possibility. You probably consume the same amount in locally grown food. Update- So I have been faithfully drinking my green juice every day for a few weeks to give it a fair shot. I have to say that I almost look forward to it now. I am getting used to the taste and feel good that I’m feeding my body something good. Still using 1/2 scoop to make it last a little longer because it is expensive. That said, I don’t mind drinking it now (mixed with unsweetened iced tea and lemon juice) and will definitely finish the bag. I will consider repurchasing and have upped my star rating from a 3 to a 4. If the price was closer to $30 I would rate this 4.5-5 stars. For me the price is the main negative.
