I cannot tell any degradation in sound quality. I used the largest wire that would insert into the terminal strip of the switch and kept the wiring as short as possible I routed the wire through a speaker switch as well so I could use heavier speaker wire and bi-wire to my Vandersteen speakers. The terminal strip on the switch would not have accommodated the wiring I currently used with the speakers. **Q: Are the (easily stripped) screws securing each wire replaceable?** A: They’re small little inset screws that probably aren’t too hard to find.
