3B Scientific U19500 Diffraction Grating Spectroscope 25mm Diameter x 115mm Length

This is a rebranded packaging of the larger "teaching" spectroscope manufactured by Orwin Products Limited (OPL) in England. The smaller version is Colin Winter's original diffraction spectroscope design, now an industry standard, which has been copied by several knockoff factories with varying degrees of quality. This flashlight-sized larger model has generous, bright optics which produce nice crisp and detailed spectra. The only thing it's missing, which would be impossible with this type of design, is a calibration scale. You need to know what you are doing to use this, but it is capable of producing the best results with something you can hold in one hand.

I got this hoping to learn how to use it to identify absorption lines from colored gemstones. It is fun to learn and this device is well suited for it. I still have lots to learn about it, but this thing has kind of become a new hobby for me.

Works very well. Easy to use. I like that its small. The price is nice. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it wont work on led lights.

I still haven't mastered this tool but it is well made.

Excellent quality for a pocket-sized spectroscope. Probably use it in a Raspberry 4 spectral analyzer.

Ein nettes kleines Teil das Bild vom Spektrum ist natürlich nicht allzugross aber man kann die frauenhofer Linien erkennen. Ich werde die Tage versuchen das spektroskop vor eine Kamera zu bauen um das Bild zu vergrößern

Nice little thing to have. A scale to read of wavelengths would have made it better.

Ricevuto con netto anticipo (una settimana) dalla data comunicata. Strumento E C C E L L E N T E, si vedono immediatamente non solo la bande del continuo dello spettro solare ma anche numerose righe di assorbimento dell'atmosfera terrestre. Non sono stati necessari aggiustamenti, solo accostare l'occhio all'oculare. Materiale ottimo (tubo in acciaio) oculare ben protetto da urti, fenditura pulitissima quindi assenza di quelle antipatiche righe orizzontali tipiche di fenditure sporche, la fenditura appare lavorata otticamente. Mi pento di non aver pensato di farne un regalo a uno studente universitario di Fisica, ma questo strumento è indicatissimo per studenti liceali e delle scuole industriali con particolare riguardo ai periti chimici. Consigliatisiimo!!!!

Das Handspektrometer hat eine hohe Qualität. Im Himmelsspektrum lassen sich sehr schöne Frauenhofer Absorptionslinien erkennen. Brilliante Farbdarstellung. Klare Kaufempfehlung, ist allerdings nicht ganz billig.
