Review: My Bose 700 Satalite Review - I went for the ultra sound bar and the subwoofer. Yes it's pricey, but got them on sale. I was waiting for the satellite speakers to go on sale, but they never did. So I bit the bullet and got them too because although the sound bar and subwoofer sound great on their own, I felt something was missing especially when listening to music, and I do listen to a lot of music. I have an extensive collection. I will say that they do make a difference in the sound of the system. They definitely improve the soundstage, as well as the Dolby Atmos experience when watching movies, etc. They sound good. I did put the cloth over them when I ran the adaptec setup. I actually feel the volume of these is quite sufficient in fact I've had to tone them back a little bit. They are not meant for bass, but these add to that all around you sound filling the room. I had a 9.1 setup at my last house so I am familiar with how the rear speakers sometimes are not in the mix at all and other times are extremely in the mix. So IMO, it's all in what you want out of the system. This is not a quadrophonic stereo like we had in the 70's where all 4 speakers blasted out equally. But for a mostly unobtrusive setup, this is very good. The Bose App let's you tweek the volume easily. One other comment I will mention about the app is that you can add addional Bose Soundlink speakers in other rooms, or outside. I love that.
Review: Solid purchase. A little pricey. Wireless while maintaining BOSE sound. - Ok here is the deal with these. You really don't get LOUD out of them when watching a movie because they are only going to pick up certain sounds and deliver those specific sounds at a surround sound level based on the volume you are listening to. EXAMPLE: you would here the hills of a persons shoes while walking and that should not be as loud as a person talking or the echo of wind. The speakers deliver background/echo/supplemental/additional/ sounds. Not going to deliver the sounds nor level that is coming from the Bar. The 700 Bar and 700 sub (without these) are a solid combo for watching movies. These speakers don't produce loud sound during moovies because its SPECIFIC sounds hat they are design to produce during movie play at a specific volume. (MY OPINOIN) The addition of these speakers are very noticeable. Now playing music is when these speakers absolutely pop which completes the 700 system, (Bar, Sub, Surround speakers). Their sound impact is BOSE and unmatched. PERIOD!!!. You will not be disappointed with this buy at all. I was almost going to send them back until I played music through them. Rock, Country, Rap, R&B, and Blues. The wireless feature and maintaing the BOSE quality wirelessly brings the price which I do think is still a bit high. But you know BOSE is going to charge for it. I think BOSE could have sold these speaker for less money. For this reason, I gave them a 4 star for "value for the money." If you want BOSE but on a tight budget then you can enjoy Bar and Sub. If you can get this in your budget then you should.

**Q: Difference between these, and the smaller $299 speakers?**
A: This one is specifically built for the Bose 700 series. I tried the $299 one but couldn't get the better sound I wanted. Sound was low and only project in Movies with 5.1 for the $299. I returned it and swap out to this one, though spent an extra $200 ($499 vice $299), better sound and well worth the extra $200 should you want to get the best out of your Soundbar+Bass speakers. Sound was awesome and loud from all (Music, movies, TV etc.)

**Q: If this is a wireless speaker, why the wireless receiver included?  Thx.**
A: These speakers are not 100% wireless. There is a cable (with also includes a wireless receiver)  that plugs into the back of the speaker and then to an outlet. The signal goes from the television via HDMI or Optical  to the Bose Sound Bar. The Sound bar transmits the signal to the wireless receiver. Then the sound travels though the cable to the speaker.

**Q: Is it best to situate these in the middle of the wall (from front to back) or at the back of the room?**
A: I have mine in the back of the room. They sound awesome. They are 360 deg speaker so you’d think they would work fine in the middle. These speakers are very nice and work well in the back of the room

**Q: Can you connect these to any reciever?**
A: You know I am not sure? I tend to believe that they are for the Bose equipment, I think that Bose intends them to work with their stuff, but I could be wrong...Sorry I know that's not much help.

I went for the ultra sound bar and the subwoofer. Yes it's pricey, but got them on sale. I was waiting for the satellite speakers to go on sale, but they never did. So I bit the bullet and got them too because although the sound bar and subwoofer sound great on their own, I felt something was missing especially when listening to music, and I do listen to a lot of music. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tiny Speakers with big sound

I set out to simplify my audio system and the messy wire situation, so I decided to go from an Onkyo AV receiver and Bose Accustimass system to a Bose 700 setup. First, I started with the Bose 700 Soundbar (which has a great sound) but it was missing the deep vibrating bass and the surround sound I was used to. So I decided to add the bose 700 bass first and it added a solid bass that you can feel ;-). I used that setup for a few months but was still missing real surround sound for TV, Music, and Movies. So I added the Bose Surround 700 Speakers. I am super happy with the sound and all that without messy cables and the complications of an additional receiver. The 700 speakers are tiny, much smaller then I expected them to be form the picture, but they do have great sound. I also got the speaker and stands in black and they look very elegant and have a nice contrast to the wall. The setup was too easy and took only minutes so I wondered if the speakers were really connected. Checking on the bose app and testing the sound confirmed that the setup worked. The complete Bose 700 sounds not only awesome but also looks great. I would definitely recommend it if you are OK with the price.
