How far out from the outlet does the (right-angle) plug stick out? I have narrow space between outlet and furniture. Thanks.

When plugged in it is approximately 3/4" away from the outlet.

is this ul certified?

Yes, Roger. The Belkin 8-Outlet Surge Protector (BE108200-06) is UL certified.

what is the actual lenght of the cord of this belkin surge protector BE108200-06

cord length from base end of plug prong to end of power strip is approx 11feet. Power strip adds an additional +/-10-1/4 inches.

When I see pics of every power strip burnt up from every brand, is it the customer's fault for overloading them?

You aren't going to burn up a power strip unless you are adding something with a high current draw like a window air conditioner or electric space heater.A power surge, such as a lightning strike, recently burned up one of my power strip surge protectors.I replaced the power strips, but i didn't need a new tv, dvd player, and stereo.
