Will this work for a 1/2 ton truck's coil springs?

Other then the stock springs I prefer QA1 Coil overs. 450# to 500# spring rate depending on the vehicle and engine combo. Call the technical people at QA-1 and they will recommend the correct product and spring rate for your application. Dave

Will the threaded shaft fit in the upper shock mount hole on a 1969 Pontiac Firebird...??

I have no idea. It should but I only work on S10 frames.

Does this work with 60's and 70's GM vehicles?

I used it on the front springs on 1971 Pontiac Lemans which is a GM A body frame.

Can I use this to remove the coil springs on my 1969 Pontiac Firebird.......??

Possibly, but I wouldn't. I'd use this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JKDCZV5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4NERA2AM498FC1KHKSYW
