Swimbuds Flip

Full transparency - I ordered these about a year ago and then life happened. Purchased to replace headphones (degrading and falling apart) I once used with my (very old) waterproof shuffle. I liked the fact there were different tips for the earbuds to ensure a secure fit because even just a little small or a little too big and they just don’t work. Took these for their inaugural swim this morning and I am incredibly pleased with the fit and the sound. Had zero issues with water leaking in and sound was clear. Once inserted they were almost flush with my ear and there was no pressure from my swim cap. The cord is shorter, but I just clipped my shuffle to the back of my swim strap and everything was fine. Absolutely would recommend and will probably buy another set to have on hand.

I've used ear buds costing about 1/3 the price of the Swimbuds Flip. I've replaced them 3 or 4 times because the wire became dislodged and one of the buds stopped working. In addition, the sound quality was poor. The diameter of the Swimbuds Flip wires is at least twice that of the cheap model. In addition, the junction between the right and left wires appears waterproof. While I wasn't expecting much for sound quality (you're swimming and there's a lot of extraneous noise), the Swimbuds' sound quality is very good. You can hear lower frequency sounds in addition to high. I've used the Swimbuds 15 - 20 times, swimming about 60,000 yards in a fresh water lake. They're holding up really well. Conditions are frequently moderately rough and the Swimbuds stay put (haven't tried any flip turns yet but jumping off a dock doesn't dislodge the Swimbuds). Two suggestions regarding fit: (1) if they fit one ear well but not the other, try using inserts of different size. (2) Put a product like Goo or Vaseline on the buds before inserting them in your ears. This has two salutary effects, the buds slide easily into the ear canal and the Goo keeps water out. Improved fit results in better sound. Throw away those cheap earbuds, get some Swimbuds Flip, plug them into your ears and your favorite waterproof MP3 player (mine is an iPod Shuffle waterproofed by Underwater Audio) and go for a swim.

Love my Syryn for daily lap swimming but tried less expensive replacement buds after the original buds failed. WRONG! Imitation buds failed within a short time and the short, coiled cord would get tangled in loose pieces of hair at base of swim cap. These new buds have great sound, fit the device perfectly. Downfall is the expense and product insurance is not cheap either. Probably a toss up between new buds and buying a complete new Syryn kit. Hoping these new buds will last as my bone conduction headset is awkward to position with swim cap in place.

First pair ordered were defective. Exchanged easily and second pair amazing audio. Use for swimming with my iPod. Highly recommend.

These were replacements for a pair I had lost. They work well and I have little to no issues with them

This product is extremely disappointing. I’ve owned these before, but this pair seems defective. Using them under a swim cap, and when they move even slightly, you can’t hear the music anymore, even on the highest volume. I could only hear a couple minutes of the music and then they kept moving and I could no longer hear it. I had to constantly stop and adjust them, which is extremely frustrating. I will not buy these again.

I swim 2500m almost daily. This is the third pair of these earbuds I’ve bought. They work well and are the right length (you should tuck the excess length under your goggle strap), but they fail right around the year mark. This last pair was from one year and two months ago. So here we go again. Wish these were cheaper. It’s sort of like a swim proof earbud annual subscription

I listen to my phone while I swim or bike using a modified FM transmitter to a cheap $20 Waterproof FM radio/MP3 player and tested and tried MANY brands as I dialed in how to do this cuz you can't do it with bluetooth or 5.8ghz wifi wireless underwater, but you can an FM signal at 87.5 and swimbuds/Underwater Audio are simply the best. Improvements from older $40 white pair?- Night and day- WHOLLY CRAP THESE ARE GOOD!!!! - Hard plastic has a longer tube that goes much deeper in the ear canal that's textured to hold tight to same white rubber as the old version but in a new shape to keep water out and prevent the panic and noise of removing an earbud separated, stuck, and left in ear canal. I will always keep tweezers close just in case, but dought I will ever have to use them again. - Wire and cord is stronger and thicker and same "short" length, and comes with the same length extender to use when riding a bike or _______ - Sound and base? Just as good if not better, and hey lordy mama- beggars can't be choosers- I'm able to listen to audio books and Spotify while I swim... and last, old white rubber earbuds does NOT fit these (well), be sure to order correct and or call customer service as they are US-based, easily reached, and make Underwater Audio second to none.

Die sind sehr gut. Man hört absolut keine Nebengeräusche.

Luv these would highly recommend I use them with a Syryn MP3 player

They were the best under water headphones I have used but unfortunately they broke after two months of use. But they were really good they did not let water in.

SwimBud flip these are really good headphones they don’t let water in and I’ve been using this company’s products for many years and they are the best I have made
