And this cable deserves the 5 star rating and a review for holding true to its advertised description. I am currently using a 4K 144Hz monitor that's shared between my gaming desktop and work laptop. I simply switch between the monitor inputs depending on what I am doing. Because the laptop has limited port selection due to its "pickiness" with port recognition, it would occupy the only DP input to the monitor. That leaves me with 2 HDMI 2.1 ports for the gaming desktop. I'm an old guy with failing vision who bought a huge monitor. With that huge monitor, I had a lot of screen flickering. These cables took that flickering away. I did learn that the shortest possible cable you can get by with is best. I cannot tell you why that is. I just know that it worked. I saw the information in other reviews. I don't need to know how or why everything works, I just want it to work. It works, and the picture is clear and bright with no flickering.
