A D width is considered average width. Wide sizes are listed in E, EE, and EEE widths. Unfortunately, Amazon does not show any listings beyond D widths. Which makes Amazon shoe shopping experience very disappointing.

Is the 9.5 for this shoe the same fit as a Vans brand shoe? I wanna make sure they fit right

Yes. For my son he wears a 11.5 and ordered the same size.

How are these compared to vans?

I dont know vans but these are very nice and comfortable shoes.

Can these sneakers be washed in the washing machine or by hand in soap and water (immersed)?

I would think you could wash them in the machine ,they seem sturdily made .The only thing that might be a concern is maybe the dye making a mess .
