No dust; doesn’t make a mess. Melts just enough to stick.I haven’t used it in hot weather, only during winter.

I was surprised about the freshness of the rosin. In general, rosin is hit or miss even if you’re ordering from a premier violin shop online.Nyman’s and Carlsson are identical. I personally think Carlsson might be a hair softer, but that could depend on the batch, age and other factors. Regardless, the Carlsson I received was fresh and it came fast right before my concert. If you’re in a bind like I was, this supplier maybe an option.
