quite stable for me, relatively easy to assemble, and useful for people of varying heights
I have been doing a third round of P90X. Always before, I would just do the modification where you attach a band in a high place and pull down. But that was never challenging for me. I decided I wanted to try to do real pull-ups. (I can't. Yet. But I am going to work on it.) This seemed like a good combination of stability and price for me, so this is the one I went with. This takes two people about an hour to assemble. It helps if you have four wrenches, because then when it comes time to tighten the wrenches at the end, the two people can split up the work. While not impossible, this would be difficult to assemble on one's own. All the parts were mostly in good condition, though some of the coating had been scraped off one of the "arm" pieces. (It was minor.) All the hardware was present. Once assembled, this thing is TALL. I am 5'5" and I couldn't reach the bar part, even with my arms extended fully over my head. I can get to them if I stand on the foot grips, though. It is best to make sure to put this in a room with a relatively high ceiling so that there is room to lift your head above the bar! This felt sturdy when I used it. I am well under the maximum listed weight (of 250 pounds, according to the product page). I was not at all worried that it was going to tip or anything like that. (I tried various moves using all the parts. I am almost always going to use this for pull-ups, though.) One thing I like is that there are multiple options for pull-ups. This is essential for P90X, where you do adjust the hand positioning at various times. You may have to do some without comfort grips (there are grips placed at a standard width and a wide width), but at least you have the option. And you can always wear weightlifting gloves to protect your hands, if you need to. At any rate, this works for exactly what I needed it to work for. I am happy with the purchase.

Body Vision PT600 Tower - Pretty darn good!
Ok, I'll just jump right in. I have an over the door type pull-up bar I bought at a local sporting goods store. It worked pretty good, but it wasn't very wide, and it was starting to ding up the door frame, but I used it every day after work. So it was time to upgrade. I didn't do extensive research for an alternative. I started at Sportsauthority.com, and some towers were promising. I looked on Walmart.com too, and there was one that looked good, but I waited too long and it sold out. Then I looked on Amazon. I should have started here. The PT600 had great reviews and the price was perfect with free shipping. So I ordered it. BTW, I'm 6'-2" and 175 lbs, and this thing is fine for me. Shipping: It arrived very fast, within a few business days. Yes, the box was a bit beat up with some holes the size of golf balls, and a few rips. But once I opened it, all the pieces were in great condition. All the nuts and bolts were in there own packaging, and no scratches on the equipment. Assembly: The instruction book was adequate. It didn't need to be too detailed, actually. It was mostly straight forward. You will need a basic ratchet and wrench set to put this together. Trust me it helps immensely. I laid everything out and started at the beginning. One thing I would mention, which is covered in the manual....don't tighten the nuts as you go. wait towards the end. When I came across the upper assembly for the pull-up bar, I tightened before I screwed the pull up bar on, and there was no give to put it on, so I had to loosen and re-tighten. Lesson learned indeed. Also, this thing is a bit smelly, the padding, the grips, the metal. So I sprayed it down lightly with water and an antibacterial solution. It stands about 7' tall fully assembled, and there's no clearance issue at all. Performance: I set this up on carpet, and it's very stable. There is a bit of wobble with the dips, but that's from me not having the strength to do them yet. Yes, definitely get new grips. I was luck my old over-the-door pull up bar had good grips, so I used those, but I will try bicycle tape. I might try gloves, because my hands were pretty sore after the dips. Ah yes the dips, don't be discouraged when I say the top of my head does hit the pull up bar when I do dips, but that's when my arms are fully extended, and it's really no big deal to bend my head a bit. really. I like the foot grips/push-up combo, very nice. I'm new to knee raises, so I can't really say if this is good for those or not, but they're easy enough to do. I use this everyday after work, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Well worth the price
I bought this VKR equipment months ago and it sat in my garage boxed up until about a couple of weeks ago. It was the strangest thing (or maybe not); late summer last year I was working out and I wanted some new equipment to vary my workouts so I bought the PT600. Because I'm an Amazon Prime Member the shipping was free so that was an added bonus (Prime Membership paid for itself right there). Well, once I got the equipment I didn't feel like putting it together. I think I lost some steam in my enthusiasm or maybe because the garage was a mess and I had no good place to put it, but whatever the reason it just sat in the box. Finally, a couple of weeks ago I grabbed my daughter and had her help me put it together. Now, my daughter is ten, and with a little bit of instructions from me she was able to tell me how to put it together; that's how easy it is. Once I got it erected I noticed that it took up even less space than I anticipated. I started using it right away and found it very sturdy. Pluses: Light weight, easy to move, easy to put together and easy to use. A full pull up bar instead of two handles spaced apart, this way you can do narrow grip or wide grip pull ups instead of just wide grip pull ups. I can do overhand pull ups, underhand pull ups, narrow grip, wide grip, push ups, dips, vertical knee raises and toes-to-bar (a tough one)... in other words I can get a near total upper body workout with it. Minuses: I'm 6'3" so the pull up bar is lower than I'd like but I can still do pull ups by keeping my knees bent. With the dips I have to keep my head tilted to avoid hitting the pull up bar. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and hope to get a lot of use out of it.

Body Vision PT600 Power Tower
Outstanding unit and value. Arrived in less than 3 days from time of order. Assembled in ~ 50 minutes, all the parts arrived in excellent condition and the unit went together very well. While $47 to ship was a bit much when added to the price of $99 this unit is a steal for under $150 delivered. Great Features - Push up handles double very well as a tricep dip station. I am 6'1" ~ 185 lbs and the station is very solid. It only seems to shake when I do; I certianly have not felt like I was in any danger of tipping over, etc. The pull up bar is great because you can start with traditional pull ups and work your way to the more difficult lat pull ups. Kind of sets up a built in goal for the user. Same with the crunch station, start out with flexed knees to your chest and work your way up to extended legs. Even my 18 year son (football player) has found the unit fun and challenging. Stability has not been an issue for either of us whatsoever. Why this unit? I wanted to find a unit that had all the work out stations on one side as I wanted to stick it in an alcove in our basement. For the price this was the hand downs winner. I also wanted a unit that had a push up station that would double as a tricep dip station. My son has also used his stretch bands by looping them over the full length pull up bar and doing pull downs for his chest. I just sold a Weider 245 (cable weight machine)to create room for this unit. Those units look great but the need to change connections, tools, move the pin, add the chain, remove the chaine, etc. for every different exercise just gets tiresome. The Power Tower concept is great because it is just you and machine. You can crank out your workouts just as quickly as you can handle banging through your sets. I am doing 6 stations (pushups, tricep dips, ab / leg lifts, dips, pull ups and lat pull ups) at 3 sets per and able to crank through the workout in under 30 minutes. Great buy, great machine, great price, great service and in hindsight a great decision.

Well done! Great price!
I assume a big concern for most men wanting to use this station of choice was my concern as well. How much weight can it handle? Well I am about 227 pounds and I wanted this station because I workout upper body a lot but I was in need of something which could allow me to do leg raises while being sturdy enough to handle my weight. This station works great! I would target most muscles in my upper body forgetting one of the most important muscle groups; the abdominal. Now I have something which makes it very hard to forget. When I'm done doing pull ups, I can easily place myself in the position to do leg raises without a second thought, nor excuse for the matter. No walking about in search for a good piece of equipment to work the abs. This station is exactly what I was looking for. Furthermore, the assembly was a cakewalk! It has bolts, washers and screws all bound to a board by a transparent plastic seal with a visual diagram behind each piece stating what it is and what role it will play in putting the equipment together by named and numbered pieces. Great idea and I didn't lose a single piece because of it. The directions for putting the station together is in the owners manual; exactly where it should be in my opinion. The directions has a visual diagram as well as a written descriptive portion along the side of the diagram giving you an easy step by step guideline to achieve The Body Vision PT600 Power Towers assembly completion. I put it together alone in little over a hour and believe me, I'm not a rocket scientist. The PT600 came in a sturdy box and each piece of equipment were in its own plastic bag fitted for each part so the initial process of identifying each piece was smooth. I'm proud to say my hard earned money seems to be well invested, however, I just put it together yesterday so the only con I have is it has only been through a days abuse so I'm not too sure how it will hold up in the long run but for the price and the sturdiness I feel thus far; I'm very pleased. Kudos!

for the price its a great deal
I was initially concerned because of previous reviewers mentioning how damaged the product comes through shipping, but my box was in good shape, All the parts were there. (as a TIP, I would definitely recommend getting some zip lock bags and separate all the screw, bolts, and washers in each bag, as they come all shrink wrapped on one piece of cardboard, which once you open you can easily lose them.) I am 6 foot and weigh in at 230 and found this could easily take my weight. though the only thing that I did notice is I couldn't comfortable do straight leg ab raises, but again I have very long legs compared to the rest of my body frame. some of the things I noticed -you may not think of this, but you do your pullups between the dip bars, at the gym the machines I use you can lift the dip bars up so they are not on the side of you. didn't think of that when I bought this equipment, not a dealbreaker at all, just something I have to get used to . -the equipment, for me I can do chest dips facing it, but facing outward it shakes a little bit. not a big deal, I just normally do chest dips facing out, not in. -the back pad has a bit of a contour, but I prefer a bit more of a contour when I am doing ab workouts, but again it just makes the workout a bit more challenging, doesn't at all decrease the use of the machine. the equipment is sturdy and all the bolts and screws fit very well into corresponding pieces, I actually put this together by myself, but in some areas it would have been easier with another helping hand, especially when equipping the overhead pull up bar to the curved brackets. but not impossible to do alone.

Don't listen to the 1 stars!
Received mine today and put it together in about an hour by myself. Only need a Phillips screw driver, sockets and wrench. I'm 5'11" 180 lbs and the tower is fine for me. Granted, I've only had it for a day, so 'll address all the 1 star ratings (since those are the ones I read first). Stability: given my height/weight, this feels more than stable. I'm guessing the poor ratings are due to people with horrible balance or they didn't tighten the bolts properly (or they are fooling themselves about their weight!). Parts: Mine came with all the required parts, even a "bonus" washer! Damage: Mine arrived undamaged. While I'm on the topic, I hate when people rate a product based upon the shipping. It's not the products fault if the shipping company damaged it! Smell: Someone commented on the "toxic" smell of the product. It does have a smell to it when unboxed, which will dissipate. No need for a "respirator and gloves"! Dips: There were several comments about people hitting their head on the pull up bar when doing dips. Again, I'm 5'11" and had no problem. I'll add that I typically look down when doing dips, so my head is not straight up. This could be why others claim to hit their head. However, I'll also add that if you simply do dips while facing away from the tower, then your head should easily clear the bar, regardless of your head's position. Also, the width of the dip grips are fine for me, and I didn't feel as of I was going to "dislocate my shoulders". Bottom line, I'm very happy with this purchase. I chose this one over others because I like how all exercises can be done from the front, as I have it against a wall., Saves space and no need to move it.

95 out of 100 score!! Great product
Received and no box damage so that's appreciated. On the the actual product... took maybe an hour of "put it together" time and was able to use 2 crescent wrenches and some torque guns w sockets. The unit is solid and allows for pull-ups , dips, and ab crunches. The only thing I would improve were to make the arm / hand bar adjustable for the ab crunches. The set length from the frame seems just a tad short my grip and arm length. That and make the hand gribs thicker w a more aggressive feel and texture. Noticed an issue: the arm rests as pictured are unable to maintain torque and snugness on frame ...afraid of over tightening torque bolts... Overall a great product and would recommend.

Top notch - solid product
I just bought this station and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The equipment is very sturdy and well constructed. It is relatively easy to put together with the provided hardware. Everything feels solid and I love how the padding has stitched on logos and not some cheap print on. The equipment feels like it belongs in a commercial gym. I highly recommend. I am 5-11 and about 190 pounds and the equipment fits me well. No issues.
