Since I only have a 10 gallon tank, I prefer to fold it in half, twist the 'legs' together, and loop it around in a loose spiral to maximize the space. Sometimes I make interesting kinks and shapes to change up the look, but mainly so *I* don't get bored. My leopard gecko couldn't care less - he's happy as long as he can poop from a decent altitude. :p The smaller sized vines don't need to be twisted the same way unless you want added sturdiness for heavier lizards. NOTE: Be careful when bending the vines, because bits of the coating can flake off pretty easily, especially from the larger size. It doesn't ruin the product, but you may need to Swiffer the floor afterward. Also don't bend it too often in one spot, because like any coated/insulated wire (*cough* Apple *cough*), the tube itself can crack with too much stress. Only difference is the width, 1/4" for the small, 1/2" for the large. **Q: These seem like a great idea but I don't see how you attach them to anything.** A: I slid a piece of string in between the top and side pieces of my chameleon's house. Made a "hook" at one end of the vine and tied the string to it. Works as a great anchor for the whole vine structure. I did this at both top back corners of my Chameleon's house so I could have multiple anchors for hanging vines and plants. **Q: Does this bust easy?** A: No not at all **Q: Could a large gecko walk on this or would it be too thin?** A: It is about as thick as a woman's thumb. They hold up every well for long periods of time. I've accessorized them with intertwined vines for a more natural look. I was initially worried about the coating flaking off but that hasn't been an issue even with the washing. Aspen and coconut husks (when dried) to get attached to the vine. It's easy enough to brush or pull off, but I felt that was worth noting for aesthetic purposes. They're very easy to use and I normally have them doubled over each other or twisted together. They can also hold up being placed in a loop and sitting vertically. There's so many possibilities with this product. That makes it fun to play with while also fulfilling your decorating needs.
