Permanent Liquid Hair Color for Gray Coverage, Red

I used black cherry with a 6 vol developer and the color is perfection. Super dark but with a distinct purple/burgundy undertone that's super obvious in direct sunlight. Easy to apply and saturated well. Didn't have any issues with my skin staining and it left my shower and sink clear, as well, which was a very pleasant surprise. I considered bumping it down to 4 stars because it definitely didn't fully cover my greys, but it's such a fantastic color I just couldn't bring myself to.

If you want a dark, cherry, red color, and you already have darker hair, this is perfect. If you want like a lighter raspberry-ish color or pomegranate, then it’s probably gonna look like that, I also got the toner and mixed it in it because I didn’t want it to come out brassy and it did not. It’s beautiful it looks like dark cherry I’ve never had a hair color that came out exactly what it was named and it was really great coverage. If you do color your hair and would like to try this product and make sure you get to developers because they don’t tell you that, it’s just we offer professional use well I figured it out! But truly really it’s also easier to put on your head when you’re waiting for it to be on there for however long good stuff and Wela is a great great company. It’s been around forever.

Me sorprendió mucho la consistencia del tinte, es más espeso de lo que esperaba y se aplica muy fácil sin gotear. El color rojo quedó vibrante y uniforme, cubrió perfectamente todas mis canas desde la primera aplicación. El olor es fuerte durante la aplicación pero se disipa rápido, y mi cabello quedó suave, nada reseco como con otros tintes que he usado antes.

Don’t forget to get the developer 20% with the hair dye. I used this product before and would recommend it.

Love love love Wella color charm permanent hair dye. It is my favorite hair dye brand to use. It lasts me 7-8 wks and doesn’t bleed or fade quickly at all.

The color on the box is pretty but my hair did not turn that level or color. My hair after dying with a level 10V developer came out as a level 4.5 not 3. The color faded severely after 2 washes as well. I thought it may have been a bad batch but the same thing happened with the second bottle. I’m also pretty experienced doing my own hair as I’m in my 40s and have been doing my own hair since I was 12. I switched to another brand and have not had any issues. Wella just doesn’t do it for me.

A great product and for the price, how can you go wrong! I was a little skeptical when the packaging changed, however, I find the product is better. The red shines through more! This is my go to color.
