Review: Best Japanese Beetle Trap on the Market! - This product works. It flat-out works. It brings the beetles in, and drops them into the bag, neat as you please. You, as a human, can smell the lure from over a hundred feet away, so rest assured, the bugs can smell it from even further away. Don't place it near the bushes you wish to protect, put it somewhere it will PULL the bugs AWAY from your bushes! Get a sense of the prevailing winds in your area, and site the trap upwind of your bushes. That will draw the bugs away from your plants, and into the trap. Now as you can see, I have MODIFIED my trap just a little bit. I cut off the bottom of the bag, and inserted an oil fill funnel. I then installed a pole in my pond, and hung the trap a few inches above the surface of the water. Now, instead of falling into the bag and dying slowly, they fall into the water, where the bass, bluegills and crappie gobble them up right away! Now I have no more beetles, and get fat, happy fish in return!

**Q: Does the lure work with spectracide japanese beetle traps?**
A: I do not know, but I have been known to use twist ties to rig various lures with various bags. They are too expensive to waste.

**Q: Do you ever see honeybees caught in these traps?  I have bee hives and the floral scent concerns me.**
A: I have bees all over my yard on the clover flowers and have never in many, many years of using this had a bee in the mix. Besides bees are smart enough to be able to climb out.-, if they did get in the trap.

A: Yes. We have tanglefoot traps an use these lures.

A: The lure is about the size of a quarter and about 1/2” thick. It’s maybe a couple of ounces.
