A total height of 12 inches! The encasement is a perfect fit. The extra inch compensated for the thick twin cover on the foam topper. So far, the topper is not shifting since the width is 38 inches. Originally I bought a 12 inch mattress encasment cover that fit the mattress and topper tightly, and made the bed feel hard. The fabric is lightweight but firm. The zipper is also strong. The encasement is waterproof to protect against liquid spills. It fits deep mattresses up to 13 inches high. A very good price to help salvage the bed, which I bought a year ago. This is the second mattress encasement that I bought for the bed in the last year. Review: The Best Mattress Cover I’ve Ever Purchased! - This mattress cover is super good! I always read the reviews before I purchase anything online. I know some of them are paid fake ones so I wasn’t sure about this purchase, but I took a chance and purchased the pair of mattress covers for my new mattresses. I was mostly concerned about these making crunchy noises while you’re trying to sleep. It doesn’t at all. It protects the mattress and is smooth and comfortable, it’s not thin and plastic. It encases the entire mattress and zips close, so of course it doesn’t come off. I put them on my queen size mattresses by myself. Once, I spilled some coffee on my bed. I panicked and pulled off my sheets to check my mattress. This cover kept the coffee from reaching my mattress and the cover wiped clean and dried in seconds. This is a true happening. I just hope the manufacturer doesn’t change this mattress cover’s quality to cut manufacturing costs. Mine will probably last for years, but if I ever need another one, this will be it. This review is real. ## Features - 360° Coverage Protection - Fits 78 inches by 80 inches king size mattress up to 15 inches deep, fully encasing all sides. The stretchy fabric fits on easily and stays securely in place without shifting. Refer to the installation video below for step-by-step guidance. - Soft and Durable Fabric - The non-crinkling design keeps the king size mattress cover quiet and comfortable without feeling stiff. Made from smooth, knitted polyester, that lays flat across the mattress. - Secure Zippered Closure - The wrap-around zipper encloses the mattress for a tight, secure fit. The mattress protector is designed to provide all-around coverage without shifting. - 100% Waterproof Liquid Barrier - A protective waterproof layer helps block spills, sweat, drinks and everyday accidents from reaching the mattress, ideal for homes with kids or pets. - Easy Machine Care – The king size mattress encasement is simple to maintain. Machine wash and tumble dry on low heat with your regular laundry to keep it clean.
