Who Was Jesus? (Who Was?)
Description
This fascinating addition to the best-selling Who Was...? series does not settle questions of theology. Instead, it presents young readers with a biography that covers what is known historically about Jesus and places in his life in the context of his world when Jerusalem was part of the Roman Empire. In an even-handed and easy-to-read narrative, this title—illustrated with eighty black-and-white drawings—also explains the early origins of Christianity and how it became a major religion. Review: That God is great - Awesome book good thing to learn about Jesus Review: Awesome - My grandson loves it.

A very readable book for ages 7 and up. I read this first for accuracy to give to my grandchildren at Easter. It is biblically accurate with inserts of history for interest. I highly recommend this book.

Both my son and I enjoy this book
My 7 year old and I have been reading this book a chapter at a time and then I give him a little test(open-book) after to help him absorb the information. It is such an easy read that even I am learning things that I have read before in bibles, but I wasn’t able to absorb the information unfortunately. So I guess we’re both learning together.

They are easy to get through and informative
My son loves all the books in the Who Was/ What was series. They are easy to get through and informative. When I asked him to review it he gave it 4 stars. He goes to a Catholic school so already knows a lot about Jesus- maybe that is why he didn't find it as interesting/ didn't learn a lot that he didn't already know. When I asked him if it was still worth reading he said yes.

VBS learning
I created a study guide for this for our VBS and giving to each child. This is a quick synopsis of Jesus's life.

love this series
My children love these books they are written in a wonderful way that children can understand and it helps with questions they have about the world around them and past events. Its a great series for the curious adventurous child. We have several and by far amazon carries them for the best price we have found.

Too Bible, few History
Almost everything in this book is from the Gospels. How about the historical Jesus?
