Review: Great for use as a trailer wheel lock - I can easily slide the open end of the U around the springs on my trailer and the two prong ends of the U through two holes in the rim of my trailer tire wheel, and then I attach the bar lock. Someone can then move my trailer a very short distance before the wheel, U Lock, and spring bind up against each other. I feel that this is much more secure than just having just a lock on the latch at the ball. After using it a few times, I find I can install it from a squatting position without having to crawl under the trailer. I have another U lock which didn't work because the U was too short. This one has such a long U that it works well. I have been using it for approximately one year and it is showing no signs of weathering. Great product.

The weight is moderate rather than very heavy like the highest security u locks, one of which I returned because of its heavy weight. That's the trade off: if you need the highest level of security you have to carry a very heavy lock. I really like this lock's long and wide U for locking my bike's front wheel and bike frame to a bike rack. I use a smaller u-lock to lock my rear wheel to the bike frame. There's no frame attachment with this lock, so you need a way to haul it around. Years On: Now 2026 and I've used this lock frequently for years. It's still working just fine. Recommended. Upgraded to 5 stars.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for the money.

For $20 these are great, and this is my second one. I love the extended U design, it makes locking much easier. Aftermaybe six moths months the locking mechanism got gummy/jammy, which I think is because the long "U" eventually was not quite straight anymore, plus some rain corrosion that I could see from leaving it out for a few months at one point. Possibly could have been fixed with WD40 a cleaner, but then I lost the lock. Anyway, I am buying another one now, so I rate it "good+", despite having a couple of imperfections.
