Review: Effective enough, but has its limitations. - If you have a garden bed you want to protect and it’s within a reasonable reach of a hose bib this will serve you well. This thing is effective enough …. Did its job while I employed it. My problem is I would need maybe 6 of these to cover my property. That’s a lot of hoses and stuff all over the place. The critters just dine on areas out of the sprinklers reach each time I would move it. Not to mention it’s useless in Midwest winters when deer are browsing tender young growth. ## Features - Humane Protection: The Orbit Garden Enforcer Motion Sensor Sprinkler helps protect lawns, flowerbeds, and gardens by startling wildlife with water and sound - Smart Detection Coverage: This motion sprinkler has a heat and motion-activated sensor that detects movement up to 40 feet away - Flexible Watering Modes: Choose day, night, or 24-hour settings that allow this dual-purpose sprinkler to switch from lawn protection to regular irrigation - Two-Year Limited Warranty: We warrant this product against material or workmanship defects for two years from purchase for private use, without limiting free statutory consumer right - Smart Solutions: Orbit saves time and water with intuitive solutions; we're trusted for dependable performance and greener outdoor spaces ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00CD3UWPA | | Best Sellers Rank | #102,811 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #315 in Lawn & Garden Sprinklers | | Brand | Orbit | | Brand Name | Orbit | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 701 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00046878621206 | | Included Components | sprinkler | | Item Dimensions | 35.25 x 7 x 6.5 inches | | Item Highlight | Motion-Activated Deterrent Sprinkler Repels Animals & Protects Lawn and Garden with Adjustable Detection | | Item Type Name | Motion Activated Sprinkler | | Item Weight | 5.3 pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 35.25 x 7 x 6.5 inches | | Manufacturer | Orbit | | Manufacturer Part Number | 62120 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 3 | | Material | Metal | | Material Type | Metal | | Maximum Pressure | 100 psi | | Model Number | 62120 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Style | Garden Enforcer | | Style Name | Garden Enforcer | | UPC | 046878621206 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Orbit - **Color:** Black - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 35.25 x 7 x 6.5 inches - **Material:** Metal - **Style:** Garden Enforcer ## Images ![Garden Enforcer Motion-Activated Sprinkler - 62120 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61jnjEziL8L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the electronics isolated well enough that the unit can withstand a bit of dew in the morning? Will humid environments harm the sensor?** A: These last few mornings we have had a very heavy dew here - in fact two days ago even a frost. The one thing I noticed is that it takes more light in this situation for it to think that it is "day" and so it is likely to spray even if it is past dawn. Perhaps the sensor gets a little obstructed by the dew ? But other than that it seems to be working fine. **Q: Is the tripod too high for effectiveness on turkeys?** A: No it is about 11/2 feet off ground. **Q: Is the framework metal? Can the stand be set low enough for wild turkeys?** A: The framework is metal, and yes, you can set it low enough for your turkeys. We have used it for deer, and it has worked very well. **Q: Can you adjust the sensitivity? I want to target deer but not gray squirrels.** A: They day you can adjust the sensitivity ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good deer prevention. *by A***D on October 6, 2026* Two seasons in and they are still working. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective enough, but has its limitations. *by K***L on September 12, 2026* If you have a garden bed you want to protect and it’s within a reasonable reach of a hose bib this will serve you well. This thing is effective enough …. Did its job while I employed it. My problem is I would need maybe 6 of these to cover my property. That’s a lot of hoses and stuff all over the place. Not to mention it’s useless in Midwest winters when deer are browsing tender young growth. ### ⭐ This Product Does Not Work Against Rabbits *by S***. on July 21, 2024* After exploring and attempting other unsuccessful stratagems, I purchased this device with the sole intent of it deterring and repelling rabbits from dining on my lawn. Thus, my one star review is predicated, in the main, on the Garden Enforcer failing to perform this task. In my view, there are several factors with this unit that appear to lend to its ineffectiveness against rabbits: 1. The motion activated sensor is not attuned/designed to recognize the smallness nor quickness of rabbits. It appears to be effective against humans, dogs and (presumably) deer, but, unfortunately, not rabbits. Various sensor adjustments, equipment locations, configurations and placements were to no avail. 2. The tripod configuration of the unit itself appears to be a hindrance to rabbit deterrence. The unit cannot be lowered enough via the tripod adjustment mechanism for the motion sensors to detect rabbits even though the sensor itself, to a degree, can be adjusted vertically. 3. The Garden Enforcer's hose connection has an inherent design flaw. The hose connection descends vertically from the center of the unit to a terminus that is equidistant from the three legs of the tripod and that is only marginally situated above the base of the tripod at its most retracted setting. Attaching a hose to the connection effectively renders the lowest tripod setting to be ineffective as it does not account for the hose itself, i.e., the hose, when connected, is actually below the lowest tripod setting making the hose the fulcrum rather than the tripod. A better design would be to have the hose connection nearer to the top of the tripod so that the unit itself could be fully lowered so that the sensor could be more effective against smaller animals such as rabbits. 4. The unit has four operating modes: Off, Day, Night and Always. Since rabbits are primarily dawn and dusk diners, none of these settings ideally serves the purpose of deterring rabbits. As a result, I was compelled to set the unit on the Always setting. Until we adapted to its presence, during the day, the Always setting gave me and my dog a reminder of its existence! A far better solution would be to integrate a digital timer with this device so that on/off settings can be truly programmable, making the Garden Enforcer a more flexible tool. Orbit, itself, makes these very timers. I have one that works quite well. Aside from its inability to deter rabbits (and I suspect animals of similar size such as cats), the Garden Enforcer appears to be well constructed. The tripods are of metal construction and the plastic components appear to be durable. The sprinkler mechanism also works fine and can be adjusted for distance, radius and duration. The instructions were clear and It was easy to set up. A note about Orbit's customer service. Seeking advice on rabbit deterrence, I talked to two separate customer service representatives on separate days. Neither of the reps appeared to be at all knowledgeable about or familiar with the Garden Enforcer. In fact, one sent me a pdf of user instructions for the wrong product. Finally, in frustration, I was able to speak with a supervisor who was more familiar with the product, secured some technical input while I was put on hold and provided me with some suggestions to improve the unit's effectiveness against rabbits. Alas. all to no avail. So, if it's rabbits you seek to repel, this is not the product for it. For humans, dogs and, I suspect, deer, it will likely be more effective. ## Frequently Bought Together - Orbit 62120 Garden Enforcer Motion Activated Sprinkler - Flexzilla Garden Hose 5/8 in. x 25 ft, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Durable, ZillaGreen - HFZG525YW-E --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/11144885-garden-enforcer-motion-activated-sprinkler-62120](https://www.desertcart.no/products/11144885-garden-enforcer-motion-activated-sprinkler-62120) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
