CRANKBROTHERS Stamp-1 Pedals

These are excellent pedals, thought I’d bought the wrong size as these looked huge and goofy on my bike compared to my old cheapo ones. I bought the large as I have uk 9.5 feet, once riding these proved to be the perfect size. My shoes never slip out of position, these are very grippy and not having my foot overhanging the pedal means I can push more power through the cranks. I’m very happy with my purchase, no regrets these are worth every penny and deserve their great reputation.

Good price, very nicely made, very grippy pegs, lighter than metal counterparts and plastic doesn’t sound as terrible when you scrape a pedal on something hard. They feel very sturdy and they also don’t hurt as much as my old specialised bennies did if they smack you in the shin. Couldn’t be happier

Don't recommend crashing on a trail like I did, but believe me when I say you will take more damage than they will. Awesome for the money as there nice and light and definitely hard as nails after the trails and big crash I put them through!!

Cheap and cheerful, I have stamp 11 on my good bike but didn't want to spend that money on my everyday bike. Clearly they aren't the same quality however they are pretty good and I have no reason to think they won't last a long time. They perform just the same and are pretty light in comparison to the 2 or 3.

Great price for what you get. Fantastic grip,looks and overall feal. Interchangeable pins and loads of colour options

These are great pedals. The first ones I own actually. I read a whole lot of reviews and while most people love these, many don't because you can feel the center spindle bulge through your shoe. I must say that this is noticable when you use these for the first time, but I very quickly got used to it and now I kind of like it because I can feel when my feet are correctly situated on the pedals. I've put 209km on these pedals so far and they still look brand new and are working great. I would buy these again knowing what I know now for the price.

I had been hesitant to install resin/composite pedals on other bikes. Aluminum always gave me a better sense of safety and security. Actually, let me start by saying that I canceled the order through AMZ because shipping time appeared to take forever and the price is higher. After looking closely at the Crankbrothers Stamp 1 Pedal, I decided to go and install these on a youth size Trek. The Crankbrothers Stamp 1 are size specific, which is why I opted on this. Small for say shoe size 5-7 and Large for larger shoe sizes. The material outside is composite with metal pins, a solid feeling platform. The spindle is chromoly, insuring a safe and long lasting pedal. The pedal is comfortable and provides excellent traction. The pedal feels, looks better, and works better than any OEM pedal and other similar types of pedals. The Stamp 1 pedals are perfect for the youth size Trek. They are lighter than the MFG supplied pedals and so much better with a nice low profile. When I went to the local bike shop to obtain the proper tool, the service tech stated that the pedals are awesome! They are indeed nice!

上等なペダルのド定番、クランクブラザーズのスタンプ１。 ウン万円する上級品と基本設計は同じ。プラットフォームが上級品が金属、本品は樹脂製。岩場へのヒットが多いハードな使用にはもうひとつ上級品が良いだろうが、一方で軽量化に貢献しており、そこそこ軽量な部類になっている。 回転はやや渋めだが、特に文句はない。 見た目はVERY GOOD。どんなバイクにも合うのではないだろうか。 ピンの数や配置は標準的、これも文句なし。 他製品との違いにピンの長さをネジで変えられる点がある。長めで使えば「吸いつくような」ペダリングが可能となる。 ピンは金属製で摩耗しない。 強いて難をいえば、ピンの裏側の穴が泥つまりすることか。まぁピン長さをしょっちゅう変えることはないので問題ないが。 同等品にシマノのＸＴがあるが、本品のほうがアマゾンさんは値引いてくれてる。エントリークラスとはいえ初期投資は安くないが、それ以上の価値はあると思う。 追記ー 普通のトレイルはもちろん、泥、雪などでも使いましたがノントラブルです。金属爪、効きますねぇ。 見た目も非常に良いし、重さも気にならないし。 砂利道やダートの登りはSPDに分がありますが、山岳地の多い日本の野山のライディングシーンを考えると、レースやマウンテンバイクパークなどの規定コース以外は本品のほうが遊びの幅が広がるような。岩場を上る半分トレッキングの冒険的なライドや足つきしやすい砂地・木の根っこ道、河川敷から堤防を上ったり下ったりのライドなど、トレッキングシューズ×本品のほうが楽しい。 フラットペダルはグランジや三ヶ島、タイオガの安価品を使ってきましたが、似た形でも雲泥の差です。最初からクランクブラザーズにしておけばよかった。 レースシーンではSPDペダルに付け替えてましたが、なんかもうこれで出走でいいような。 ★4→5に上げてレビューを終えます。 追記２ー サイズを書き忘れてました。ＳとＬがあります。 Ｓでも十分に広く、一般的なトレイルやオンロードの用途にはこちらで十分。 Ｌはよほど足が大きい、ダウンヒル志向（プラスチック製は買わないだろうが）などか。 海外サイトによると、Lは滅茶苦茶デカいらしいのでよく調べ考えてから（実物は未確認）。 重量はさほど変わらないので好き好きで良いと思いますが。 追記３ー 購入してずいぶん使いこみましたが、いいですねぇ。ベタ惚れです。MTBまわりでこの数年で買ってよかったパーツNo.1かも。先行レビューの「ロードバイクに合わせて」なんて勿体なさすぎる、本品の良さの１割も引き出していないと思う。ロードバイクならspd-slのdura買っとけ。私はlookの板バネ派だが。 フレームをフルサスにした時、ブレーキをマグラの油圧にした時は新たな境地を切り開いた感じがしたが、まさかペダルごときでそれを味わえるとは。 また、後発レビューに「ガタつき」と「パキパキ音」とありますが、私のは一切ありません。 ガタつきはこれまでtimeのロード用とグランジで経験済み、 パキパキ音は三ヶ島と固定ローラー用に取り付けたフィットネスバイク用ペダルで経験済みなので、 もしあればわかるはずですが。 どうやら個体差がありそうですね。経験的にはちょっとした違いで生じ、ちょっとした違いで解消される。一方で解消されないものはどう工夫しても解消されないものですが。ブレーキの「鳴き」のように。

First a little background. I have two road bikes: one for club rides and one I use as a commuter. Until I purchased these Stamp pedals, both had Crank Brothers Candy series pedals. The commuter was being ridden short (for me) distances around the community I live in, and running casual errands when I did not want to be in "full kit", in regular sneakers. While the Candy pedals worked, I wanted something more comfortable for when not wearing "real" cycling shoes. These Stamp pedals are a bit of overkill for their intended usage, but I am SO GLAD I spent the extra money. Designed as an off road pedal for those that do not like to clip in, the pegs on the bottom of the pedal provide a very positive grip on the bottom of any chosen footwear. What's more, you can easily change foot position while riding, and dismounts / mounts are a breeze. What I really like is the super smooth feel of the pedals while riding. Quite a difference from an inexpensive set of no name pedals I had previously used. These rotate as easily as my Candy pedals, and that is what I really like about them; no noticeable friction drag. When you factor in that you can get a rebuild kit for these pedals, these become a nice, reasonably priced, longer term investment over a cheap pair of flats. Highly recommended for your commuter bike as a longer term upgrade, or for their intended use as an off road pedal, these are well worth considering if flat pedals fit into your riding style.
