Good quality and does its job.
This is a simple device and does exactly what it’s supposed to. Most important to me is that the quality is good so that it doesn’t stop functioning well. It’s been while now and it’s still doing well. I recommend it

Audio interface
Using with a Presonus 1810c, works great! Make sure to use power adaptor and turn on app permissions. Charges while using with GarageBand. Record to SD card, so does not eat up iPad memory, use with a USB hub and midi keyboard , In my setup I use the built in midi on the Presonus. So far so good, it does get warm, but not really hot.

Too slow
It takes forever to read a bigger size memory card. Ended up buying different brand which is working flawlessly.

I was very hopeful this card reader would allow me to travel with my iPad in place of my laptop
I bought this card reader to travel overseas for 5 weeks with my camera and my iPad in place of my laptop. The goal was to upload images from my camera’s SD card directly to the Photos app on my iPad. It sort of worked - the card reader plugged in easily and read the SD card with no problem but when I selected the images and hit “import,” after importing five or ten images, the process crashed and the card reader auto ejected. I had to upload images in batches of ten which took a very long time since I was shooting 100+ images every day. In the end I was able to upload them all but it was frustrating and anything but smooth and easy. I dont know if the problem was on the iPad side or the card reader side. I dont know if another card reader would have worked any better but the situation was really disappointing.

Does not work with square or some SD cards
IPad Air 2 with charger attached still reports too much current draw from a Square card reader. Isn’t the charger supposed to power the external device and shield the iPad from that load? Also failed on some SD cards. Website description is misleading. Product returned.
