The Astro 1450 13" Plus nut and extra-long rivet nut setter kit Metric & SAE is designed for setting bulbed plusnut's, longer than standard rivet nuts and even standard rivet nuts. This kit features the market's most popular rivet nut setting tool (astro’s 1442), which has been adapted for plus nut and long rivet nut use. The kit includes 9 SAE and metric sizes: 10-32, 10-24, 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16, M5, M6, M8 & M10.

Review: Read the Instructions... then practice - This tool is excellent. I installed dozens of M6 and M8 Rivnuts in both mild steel and stainless steel types. It is very important to adjust the mandrel position and depth and to be gentle with the exceptional leverage that this tool provides.
Review: Comes with many mandrels, works great, great value - I bought this set instead of the regular 13” set because it came with more mandrels and they were the long kind. The long mandrels work fine with regular sized rivnuts. I actually needed a M4 so I had to buy the cheap knock off version for $10 on desertcart of course. This set does not come with any rivnuts unlike the regular set. I used it on a Harbor Freight sand blast cabinet with M4 rivnuts installed using this tool (and the M4 mandrel i brought separately). Just go easy, you can always reattach and pull again. You can’t put back together a broken mandrel.

A: I did not find it difficult to set plus nuts...the design of he tool allows you to provide good leverage.

I bought this set instead of the regular 13” set because it came with more mandrels and they were the long kind. The long mandrels work fine with regular sized rivnuts. I actually needed a M4 so I had to buy the cheap knock off version for $10 on Amazon of course. This set does not come with any rivnuts unlike the regular set. I used it on a Harbor Freight sand blast cabinet with M4 rivnuts installed using this tool (and the M4 mandrel i brought separately). Just go easy, you can always reattach and pull again.
