Any quirky limitation on the monitor/usb-c functions when using this with a mac? like webcam, sound, and can it support adding another display?

webcam and sound works via USB-C, just make sure to get the right driver and the right tool to display 5120x1440 because that display profile is beyond what some older MacOS provides support for so you need to manually set it to display properly (more of a fault of slowness and behind-the-times of MacOS than the monitor's issue) It does not have DisplayPort daisy-chain function so it does not have an output that can connect to another monitor but if your Macbook pro or Mac Pro has multiple video outputs, just connect to another monitor via that and you should be fine
