**Q: Is this okay for cleaning cd's? i  have a rather expensive and rare ps2 video game that is really badly scratched up.**
A: Brasso is used for the cleaning of metal items like brass. I would not try it on an CD. Check with an electronics person who repairs CD players. Hope this helps. KM

A: Yes.  It will not replace any metal lost to corrosion, but will get rid of the green filigree.

A: Nope, at least not by  the "what it's for" on the labels. i.e.
Liquid Brasso: Brass, Copper, Stainless, Chrome, Aluminum, Pewter, Bronze

I have used -- a "Connoisseurs Gold or a Silver Jewelry Polishing Cloth"  also "Weiman Silver Cream"

**Q: Will this take tar off of brass?**
A: Duraglit removes a light layer of brass each polishing. I suppose it may need to be scraped or wire brushed to remove most tar. Then it would work.
