What is the difference between the rub and the seasoning?

I accidentally ordered the rub. I wanted the seasoning. The rub has brown sugar in it. Seasoning does not. Seasoning had celery salt. Rub does not. Haven’t tried it yet so will post later. Got it for crabs. Here’s hoping.

can old bay rub be used in place of old bay seasoning

Old Bay Rub features sweet, spicy and savory herbs and spices are blended to let you create moist and zesty seafood with the original OLD BAY flavor. While this rub features brown sugar, it can be used in place of Old Bay Seasoning. ~ Erica
