Other the first appearances of his sidekick, Kid Flash, fellow detective The Elongated Man, and much more. With new trade dress matching the rest of the Omnibuses from this collection, this oversize hardcover is a must-have for any serious collector. Collects SHOWCASE #4, #8, #13 and #14 and THE FLASH #105-132. Review: Highly Entertaining Stories That Kicked Off the Silver Age! - THANK YOU DC for finally re-releasing this omnibus using the "Golden/Silver/Bronze Age" trade dress that has become so popular the past few years. This volume contains the first seven years of Silver Age Flash stories. It is easy to see why these stories revitalized the superhero genre and kicked off the Silver Age. They are highly entertaining and hold up well! The writing of John Broome and the art of Carmine Infantino can't be beat! Besides the fun that John and Carmine had with creative super-speed elements of The Flash himself, this volume introduces one of the most memorable rogues galleries in comic book history! Captain Cold, Dr. Alchemy, Mr. Element, Gorilla Grodd, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, the Trickster, Captain Boomerang, and Abra Kadabra - they're all here! Not only that, but The Flash boasts one of the most memorable supporting casts as well. Kid Flash and the Elongated Man make their debuts and star in backup features that are included in this volume. The Flash also kicks off the DC multiverse with the classic "Flash of Two Worlds" story reprinted here, reintroducing the Golden Age Flash to comic fans and adding him to the supporting cast. As a bonus, the Golden Age Flash's final story from the forties is included. Lastly, most Flash issues contained two short stories but there are also five full length stories contained within, including two team-ups with Kid Flash, two with the Golden Age Flash, and one with Green Lantern. Are there ANY flaws? Just one, but I couldn't bring myself to remove a star for it (if I could I would rate 4 1/2 stars). There is an issue of Green Lantern from this time period that includes a team-up with the Flash that should have been included (the story appears in the Silver Age Green Lantern Omnibus Volume 1). I say "should have" because The Flash is a true co-star of the story. Other than that one issue, this is a must-have omnibus for fans of The Flash! Review: Best SA run - outstanding printing, color and stories make this a fantastic run....the best deal ever for 12 cents.....outstanding value, I read one story a day along with a couple of other titles...just super ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #2,634,867 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #4,659 in DC Comics & Graphic Novels #35,182 in Superhero Comics & Graphic Novels | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 117 Reviews | ## Images ![The Flash: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81HtZRLb2RL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Entertaining Stories That Kicked Off the Silver Age! *by T***S on January 13, 2019* THANK YOU DC for finally re-releasing this omnibus using the "Golden/Silver/Bronze Age" trade dress that has become so popular the past few years.
