Sharp a beautifully balanced
These knives are very high quality, look great and take and keep a great edge. I sharpened one up last night and was able to get a shaving edge on it quite easily - and I do mean a shaving edge. Some stainless steel kitchen knives are impossible to sharpen once they lose their factory edge because they are either to hard or too soft. These are perfect

Great. It's sharp, heavy and very pretty :) I won't lie...I bought it mostly because of how it looks...and it looks very nice. But it's also of high quality, it holds the edge well, and it's very sturdy and easy to clean. A good kitchen knife.

Richardson Kyu knives are the business and I'll have nothing else in my kitchen from now on.I use this paring knife every day and it is also used for camping as is still absolutely razor-sharp after nearly 8 months of daily use !Absolutely superb. Don't waste your money on exotic brands, you can't beat a bit os Sheffield Steel !!!

Best Knife
This is the sharpest and most comfortable knife of this type I have ever had in 55 years. Very easy to resharpen with a good quality steel and it hold its edge. I have paid a lot more for trash.

Amazing Knives
My wife and I found a couple of these knives in a local Home Goods store, bought them on a lark because of their striking "Japanese" look, and quickly discovered that they were (far) superior to the (far) more expensive Henckle knives we already own. We have since acquired a complete set of the seven knives made by Richardson of Sheffield in this style, several of which had to be bought directly from the UK. They are magnificent knives for the price, beautifully designed and sharp as a razor.
