That's me! *by A***C on October 5, 2024* K&N filters have been around for decades! They are well known and established. The biggest thing to know about them is that while they are reusable, their ability to filter small particulates is not nearly as good as other established brands in the paper filter space. There is a popular video platform and on that platform is a channel called "Project Farm". The video does extensive testing and shows that the K&N filters flow the most air, which leads to the highest power increases, but at the expense of filtering; There's less restriction. So therein lies somewhat of a catch-22. Yes, you can clean these filters (Cleaning / re-oiling kits sold separately), but if you are needing to clean them often, you're probably in a dirtier environment and would warrant a filter that actually filters better.
