The things I like most are: 1. supply tips for the absolute beginner 2. discussion of basic things you need to know about working with watercolors 3. a few easy projects to try that yield a degree of success for the absolute beginner, and 4. the small size of the book, 6"x8", which makes it handy if you want to practice painting outside or on vacation. What I wish it had more of is #3, that is, more practical examples I can copy in order to practice the basics she talks about in the book. For the most part, she uses her own paintings for examples, which is fine, but it's obvious you need some drawing expertise.
