Featuring countersunk holes for flush wall mounting, a gallery-style floating effect without glass, and an all-inclusive hardware kit, it offers a professional, protective, and stylish display solution that’s ready to hang right out of the box. ## Description At Ampersand, we noticed the floater frames available to artists didn't properly accommodate wooden panels. We saw that the base of the frame didn't align with the panel's cradle and the front of the frame didn't protect the face of the artwork. Ampersand remedied these issues by expanding the base of its Floaterframe to match up with the cradle of a wooden panel and extending the frame profile, so the artwork sits just below the front of the frame, protecting the artwork from damage. We also added countersunk holes on the back for the hardware, so the screws that attach the artwork to the frame don't protrude. This keeps your artwork flush with the wall and prevents screws from scratching the wall. Not only did we create a better frame, but we also took it one more step. Everything you need to frame your artwork is included, from the eye screws and coated wire to screws that attach to the artwork, and bumper pads for the back corners. Even the hook and nail are included so you can display your newly framed artwork. Are you framing a flat panel without a cradle? The 7/8" depth option includes a set of riser blocks in the hardware pack. This is a great solution for displaying your artwork on a panel, even if the panel doesn't have cradles. Ampersand offers two great styles of Floaterframes to choose from: We have a Bold style, with a dramatic wide facing, and a Thin style with an elegant, narrow facing. Both styles are available in Black, White, Maple, and Walnut, and are available for 7/8" and 1 1/2" depth artwork on cradled panels or stretched canvas. With the Bold style, the outer dimensions are the same for both depths. This allows artists to frame artworks with different cradle depths in uniform frames. The Thin style has a different approach. The outer profile for the 7/8" depth is more shallow versus the deeper 1 1/2" profile. Designed for Ampersand panels and ideal for use as a canvas frame. Ampersand Floaterframe: Simply the Easiest Floater Frame You’ll Ever Use. ## Features - Premium Hardwood Construction: Ampersand’s exclusive wider base and deeper rabbet position the artwork securely to protect the face and corners. Pre-drilled countersunk holes ensure the frame hangs flush against the wall. - Gallery Floating Effect: A subtle space between the artwork and the frame creates a modern floating look and keeps the front edges unobstructed so the entire piece remains fully visible. The clean, glass-free design offers a professional, distraction-free presentation. - Versatile for Fine Art & Home Décor: Enhances and protects artwork on canvas, wood panels, and mounted prints, giclées, or photos to a rigid backing. Create an elegant, gallery-style presentation at home—without the long wait and high cost of custom framing. - Bold & Thin Styles: Choose from our Bold frame with a wider face for a strong visual border, or our Thin frame with a narrow, minimal profile. In the Bold style, both 7/8" and 1 1/2" depths share the same outer dimensions for a uniform wall display. The Thin style varies by depth, with a shallower profile for 7/8" panels and a deeper profile for 1 1/2" artwork. - Complete Easy DIY Framing: Everything is included in one box: premium hardwood frame, wood screws, screw eyes, 20 lb. hanging wire, bumper pads, and even the hanging hook and nail for instant display. Select the 7/8" profile (risers included) for flat and cradled depths up to 7/8". Choose the 1 1/2" profile for artwork with a full 1 1/2" depth. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07JG1MJ5T | | Back Material Type | Medium Density Fiberboard | | Best Sellers Rank | #8,386 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #1 in Frame Sections & Parts | | Brand Name | Ampersand Art Supply | | Color | Black Bold | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (435) | | Finish Type | Maple | | Frame Material | Wood | | Frame Type | Floater Frame | | Included Components | Eye screws, coated wire, screws, bumper pads, hook, nail | | Item Dimensions L x W | 6"L x 6"W | | Item Shape | Rectangular | | Item Type Name | Readymade Frame for Flat and 7/8" Deep Wood Panel and Canvas Artwork, Paintings, Prints, and More | | Manufacturer | Ampersand Art Supply | | Model Number | FBOLD780606B | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Grandparents Day, New Year, Retirement | | Orientation | Vertical | | Other Special Features of the Product | Countersunk Holes for Flush Mounting, Wood Panel Compatible | | Part Number | FBOLD780606B | | Product Style | Bold | | Recommended Uses For Product | Displaying and protecting artwork in homes, galleries, or offices | | Size | 6"x6" | | Target Audience | Unisex Adult | | UPC | 707310920669 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ampersand Art Supply - **Color:** Black Bold - **Finish Type:** Maple - **Frame Material:** Wood - **Mounting Type:** Wall Mount - **Occasion:** Grandparents Day, New Year, Retirement - **Product Dimensions:** 6"L x 6"W - **Shape:** Rectangular - **Special Feature:** Countersunk Holes for Flush Mounting, Wood Panel Compatible - **Style:** Bold ## Images ![Ampersand Floaterframe | 6x6 | 7/8" Depth | Bold | Black | Solid Wood - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ipHUmXb4L.jpg) ![Ampersand Floaterframe | 6x6 | 7/8" Depth | Bold | Black | Solid Wood - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/410b0TgnlNL.jpg) ![Ampersand Floaterframe | 6x6 | 7/8" Depth | Bold | Black | Solid Wood - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51iicMpqxTL.jpg) ![Ampersand Floaterframe | 6x6 | 7/8" Depth | Bold | Black | Solid Wood - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51vJl0dxvXL.jpg) ![Ampersand Floaterframe | 6x6 | 7/8" Depth | Bold | Black | Solid Wood - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51pySD2jtZL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/100231005-ampersand-floaterframe-6x6-7-8-depth-bold-black-solid-wood](https://www.desertcart.no/products/100231005-ampersand-floaterframe-6x6-7-8-depth-bold-black-solid-wood) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
